About.
We exist to support the brave.
The people doing high-stakes, purpose-driven work, often with too little time, too few resources, and too much complexity.
For The Brave was founded by Kim Nates, a strategist and storyteller with over a decade of experience supporting teams across human rights, healthcare, conservation, education, and social justice.
Why this work.
This practice wasn’t born from a five-year plan. It was born out of frustration, urgency, and a deep belief that clarity is power — and that bravery deserves backup.
I’ve worked with teams in the thick of it, stretched thin, navigating change, or trying to tell stories that matter. I started For The Brave to bring structure and support to people like that: through words and strategy that help good work go further.

What we bring.
Before founding For The Brave, I worked across non-profit strategy, copywriting, education, advocacy, and health, including roles with the Johannesburg Holocaust & Genocide Centre, Fine and Fine For Good, Torque (Employee Experience Agency), and global networks focused on human rights and social impact.
I bring a global perspective to this work, with a BA from Brown University (USA) and an MSc in Management from Imperial College London (UK).
I’m calm in chaos, collaborative by nature, and deeply committed to helping good work become sustainable.
